Crystal Palace’s Ghanaian duo, Jordan Ayew and Jeffrey Schlupp, each found the back of the net in their team’s Premier League triumph over West Ham United on Saturday.
Ayew levelled the score at Selhurst Park in the 15th minute, capitalizing on a pass from Michael Olise to slot the ball past the West Ham goalkeeper.
Five minutes later, Wilfried Zaha put Palace in the lead, and Schlupp extended their advantage by making it 3-1. Although West Ham launched a late comeback, they were unable to salvage a point as Palace clinched a 4-3 home victory.
Ayew’s goal was also noteworthy for helping him reach a Premier League milestone of being directly involved in 50 goals, making him the only Ghanaian to achieve such a feat.
Additionally, he has now scored three goals in his last five appearances for the club after netting only once in his previous 29 games.
