GHANA’s National Football League (NFL) Star, Ezekiel ‘Ziggy’ Ansah, is expected to host his fourth annual football camp next year.
The camp, which seeks to unearth, nurture and groom young talents in the game came to an abrupt pause as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Speaking to Graphic Sports Online, the former San Francisco 49ers defensive end player revealed his readiness for the upcoming youth Football camp.
“The purpose of hosting the event annually is to promote healthy living, physical education, teamwork among the youth and how one can work towards one’s goal. The element of physical fitness is much more needed now than any other time as we face a worldwide pandemic” he remarked.
“It is prudent to instil a sense of discipline and cooperative skill among young people through the use of recreational activities” he added.
Ansah extended his extreme appreciation to the National Sports Authority (NSA) for their unflinching support from the first edition of the camping through till now.
He further entreated corporate Ghana and other government agencies to provide support in order to extend the programme to other parts of the country and to roll in a lot more participants.
Over the year, the Ziggy has given back to society and continues to reach out more to deprived people through the Ezekiel Ansah Foundation (EAF), a non-profit organisation that strongly believes that with the right support and opportunity, the youth can be guided to the right path and realise that they are, in fact, the answer to their own a success. The foundation as part of its recent activities has embarked on a number of social activities, including the EAF Breast Cancer Awareness which provided free clinical breast examination for women in the Eastern Region.
