Naana Aklerh Akwesihu Ocansey I, Queen of Kpordula in Ada and Chief Executive Officer of NOAAD NAANA Enterprise, has been honoured with the Uncommon Community Development and Humanitarian Service Award at the African Women of Uncommon Legacy Award and Conference (AWOULAAC).

Her nomination, put forward by the Paramount Queen of the Dzodze Traditional Area, Mamaga Huda III, recognized her outstanding philanthropic and humanitarian efforts across Ghana.

In an interview with the organizers of AWOULAAC, Queen Naana showcased photos and evidence of her numerous charitable projects — from donations to orphanages to relief support for victims of the Akosombo Dam spillage. She also shared insights into the challenges she faces as a traditional queen, and family offering thoughtful and inspiring reflections on leadership and service.

The organizers further assessed products from her enterprise, NOAAD NAANA, which produces liquid soaps, hair care items, and bathing soaps. One of her standout creations, the locally made soap known as Azuma Blows, particularly impressed evaluators for its originality and craftsmanship.

Following these evaluations, Queen Naana received an official invitation to attend the awards ceremony, held at AH Hotel and Conference, East Legon, on Sunday, October 26, 2025, under the theme “Trailblazing Women Shaping Africa’s Legacy.”
