Last Tuesday, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Mustapha Ussif, toured construction sites for the hosting of the 2023 African Games to inspect ongoing works.
He visited University Ghana(UG), where athletics, rugby and the games village will be held and Borteyman, the site where the other indoor sports disciplines will be held in addition to tennis and an aquatic centre for swimming.
After reviewing the monthly reports from the three contractors, Consar for UG, Mawums for the Games village also at UG and Contracta, for Borteyman, the Minister was impressed with the current rate of work and expressed the optimism that the contractors would be able to meet the time schedule given them.
The 13th version of the African Games will be held in Accra, Ghana in August 2023.
