Kwado Obeng Jnr’s last minute gasp for Accra Hearts of Oak secured a point for the league leaders as they draw 1-1 with Ebusia Dwarfs at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday.
Hearts of Oak, thus, maintained their points on the summit of the league log as they fight to break their more than a decade league title drought with two matches to go.
Dwarfs went to the game needing a victory to escape the drop zone while a victory for Hearts of Oak would have helped them open five points gap at the summit of the log.
But the game ended barreb in the first half after both sides created some decent chances but were unable to convert.
Skipper Dennis Korsah put Dwarfs ahead in the 85th minute through a sublime freekick and just when they thought they could walk away with the maximum points, Obeng Jnr broke their hearts with the equaliser just on the stroke of fulltime to split points with the host.
