Golf: Mouganie wins FBNBank anniversary tourney

Jeffery Mouganie completed a net score of 63 points with a handicap of 11 to clinch the Category A title of the First Bank of Nigeria (FBNBank)@25 golf tournament staged at the Bok-Nam Kim Course in Accra last Saturday.

25th Anniversary celebration
The competition, organised by the FBN as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations, attracted 96 golfers and saw Eric Ofosu-Hene placing second with 64 points, off a handicap of 12, while Tony Mintah took the third position with a net score of 65, off a handicap of 10.

In the men’s category B match, Stephen Onaivi scored a net of 59 points, off a handicap of 16 to emerge tops, while Kenneth Adjei came second with a net score of 61, off a handicap of 25, with Dani Kanaan finishing third with a net score of 61, off a handicap of 24.

Women’s winner
In the women’s category, Sarah Jiang of the Achimota Golf Club completed a net score of 62 points, off a handicap of 24, to be adjudged the overall winner.

Georgina Andoh came second with a net score of 62 points, off a handicap of 27 and Vida Anang scored a net of 64, off a handicap of 18, to place third.
All the first and second-placed finishers were rewarded with a momento and a plaque.

In his remarks, the group head of business development at the FBNBank, stated that his outfit’s premium banking was an invitation that rewards customers as they do business with the bank.

The CEO of the bank, Mr Victor Asante, noted that aside using the golf tournament to mark its 25th anniversary celebration, the occasion was also to deliver financial advice to customers, would-be bankers and create awareness of the bank to the public.
