The Social Democracy and Development Dialogue Forum-Africa (SDDDF Africa), a public Interest Organisation, has petitioned the Privileges Committee of Parliament not to treat Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong, as a first-time offender when he appears before the committee to answer questions bordering on his alleged abuse of privilege.

Mr. Agyapong has been summoned before the committee for allegedly threatening and endangering Multimedia Journalist, Erastus Asare Donkor over his reports on the recent Ejura shootings by a joint team of police and military that led to the death of two persons.

Mr Agyapong has accused the journalist of false reportage which he thinks contributed to the death of the two people in the incident, and has advocated his severe beating.
