Teqball Federation of Ghana receives 50 tables from FITEQ

The world teqball governing body, Fédération Internationale de Teqball (FITEQ) has presented 56 teqball tables to the Teqball Federation of Ghana (TFG).

The tables which were delivered to the TFG at a ceremony in Accra were acquired by the FITEQ in collaboration with the Hungarian Embassy in Ghana.

The President of the TFG, Mr Kofi Poku said the arrival of the tables will help establish and popularize the sport across the country.

He said his outfit will team-up with the National Sports Authority (NSA) to distribute the tables to the various regional heads.

He added that the Federation has also engaged former national football stars such as Yaw Preko and Augustine Arhinful to be brand ambassadors of the sport in the country.

He said: “Indeed, the arrival of the tables will go a long way to promote and develop the sport, we couldn’t have started without it. You can’t play it without the tables.

“We thank the Hungarian Embassy for helping us clear the items from the port. The sport has come to stay.”
