The two flyweight boxers will slug it out in a non-title contest

Flyweight boxer, Isaac Aryeetey is optimistic he could earn a revenge against Mohammed Aryeetey when they slug it out in a contest at the Bukom Boxing Arena on Saturday night.

Isaac, who will be making his professional debut tonight, promised fireworks against Aryeetey whom he described as a good fighter.

Isaac, who tilted the scales at 113.30 pounds at Friday’s weigh-in, told the Daily Graphic that he was ready to end Aryeetey’s dominance over him on Saturday night.

“I am hopeful of a revenge against Aryeetey and that will certainly be on Saturday night,” said Isaac.

“I have to admit that he is a good fighter and I anticipate fireworks. I am prepared and ready to end his dominance in our two previous fights.”

Aryeetey v Aryeetey: The boxers previously fought twice at the amateur level

Aryeetey has defeated Isaac twice at the amateur level and is targeting a third consecutive victory over his opponent in their maiden professional bout.

Responding to Isaac’s comments after taking to the scales and weighing 110.60 pounds, Aryeetey said the only focus for tonight’s bout is to be victorious.

“The main aim now is to win and I am very hopeful of that. I don’t think Isaac has what it takes to trouble me in the ring so I am ready,” Aryeetey noted.

The Winbase Promotions card, dubbed ‘Jamestown Fight Night’, will have other exciting fights on the event.

In the main event of the night, Benjamin Lamptey will lock horns with late replacement William Commey in a 12-round lightweight contest.

Derrick Mensah Quaye will face Elvis Mensah in a super featherweight contest while Michael Decardi Nelson slugs it out with Moses Adjei Selvi at bantamweight.

There will be a super featherweight clash between Eric Quarm and Christopher Buxton and Dennis Nyarko will mark his debut against Mohammed Fuseini in a bantamweight fight.

Richard Fenyi versus Prince Quaye in a lightweight bout with Jacob Dickson set to face David Okine in a light heavyweight clash.
