The fifth edition of Women In Gospel Music (WIGM) annual concert dubbed Gratitude  is scheduled for November 26 at the Fountain Gate Chapel, Bliss Pastures, Olebu.

George Ntiador is the head pastor of Fountain Gate Chapel, Bliss Pastures, Olebu. This year, veteran gospel singer Elder Mireku will be performing. With his years of experience in the ministry, one should expect nothing but the best from the seasoned gospel singer.

Speaking in an interview with Graphic Showbiz,  Abena Ruthy, president of WIGM said the event is also a way of saying thank you to God for a whole year of grace and mercies towards the music ministry.

According to her, WIGM makes collaborations easy where  older musicians collaborate with the younger ones and also share their experiences with them.   WIGM was founded by Rev Dr Mary Ghansah in 2013 with a few women.

Other prominent women in the group are Rev. Helen Yawson, Diana Hopeson, and Augustina Addison, Tagoe Sisters, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Celestine Donkor, and Diana Hamilton among others.  The membership WIGM is over 500.

WIGM is present in Greater Accra, Ashanti, BA, Central, Western,  Volta, and Eastern regions. We have members abroad with a chapter in the USA and Italy.

There are generational groups that cover the various eras in which people become hits in the industry. 1st Generation (Mama Mary, Tagoe Sisters, etc), 2nd Generation (Celestine Donkor, Diana Hamilton,  Piesie Esther, etc.) and the 3rd Generation which is for the growing stage.
