Ghana Football Association (GFA) president, Kurt Okraku, is expected to contest in West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Zone B elective congress unopposed.

So far, the GFA boss is the only candidate who has filed nomination for the position with elections scheduled to take place in Cote D’Ivoire on Saturday.

When he is finally approved, Okraku will extend his reign as WAFU Zone B president for a your-year term having replaced Djibrilla Hima Hamidou of Niger who stepped down in May last year.

His election is expected to come off during the 15th General Assembly of WAFU Zone B which comes off this weekend.

The General Assembly is the supreme legislative organ of the football block where key decisions are taken for implementation by the WAFU Zone B Secretariat.

Federation Presidents, CAF Executives, General Secretaries of the seven Associations within the sub-region and some invited guests are expected to attend General Assembly on Saturday.
